Forum Post: RE: Output Window with SDI Mode
Hey Phyllis, The status bar is still there in SDI mode. It's just been moved up to the main floating panel since the Output Window may not be shown by a user. The main panel is always visible. It should still contain everything it does in MDI mode. > I also lose the color that I have associated with my connection, but I think I remember a message saying I wouldn't see that. You're correct. Connection border colors can be spotty in SDI mode depending on Windows display settings. When I use a Windows 7 Aero theme, it doesn't display, as seen here: However, if I turn Aero off and use the "Windows 7 Basic" theme, I get this: Aero overrides the ability to paint the border around the window. Even in the basic theme, the colored border will disappear when the form doesn't have focus. I'm trying to see if there's a way around that, but haven't found a good solution yet. You still do have colored status bars, though, for your colored connections. The title also mentioned "Output Window in SDI mode". You can still display the output window if needed by selecting it from the main menu. It will initially appear in its own floating panel near the bottom of the desktop, but the status bar will still appear across the application's main floating panel. Does this help to answer what you're looking for? -John
